Mission and Main Activities
The Iranian Christian Solidarity Organization (HOMA) is a federally incorporated Canadian not-for-profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities, promoting human dignity, inclusion, participation, and social connection, and supporting Iranians and friends of the Iranian community regardless of religious affiliation, background, or nationality.
HOMA’s activities include community research, education, newcomer and community engagement, anti-racism and inclusion initiatives, intercultural dialogue, volunteer development, youth and women’s leadership, community service, and knowledge sharing.
HOMA seeks to create opportunities for individuals and families to participate fully in Canadian society while contributing their knowledge, skills, cultural experiences, and community leadership. Through partnerships, volunteers, educational programming and evidence-based community initiatives, HOMA works to reduce social isolation, strengthen belonging, increase awareness of rights and opportunities, and contribute to more inclusive and resilient communities.

We envision a Canada where every individual—regardless of faith, ethnicity, culture, or life circumstances—is welcomed with dignity, empowered to reach their full potential, and able to participate fully in the social, economic, and civic life of their community.
