در Iranian Christian Solidarity Organization (HOMA) was officially incorporated as a Canadian federal not-for-profit corporation on May 29, 2026. While the organization is newly established, its mission is rooted in many years of community service, friendship, and a shared commitment to supporting Iranians both in Canada and abroad.
For decades, the Founder, Iraj Kazemi Seresht, together with a close circle of friends and dedicated volunteers, has worked informally to assist Iranian individuals and families facing social, economic, emotional, and settlement challenges. Their support has taken many forms—offering practical guidance to newcomers, connecting families with community resources, encouraging volunteerism, organizing educational and cultural activities, and providing friendship and hope to those experiencing isolation or hardship.
Through these experiences, they came to recognize a growing need for a permanent organization that could coordinate community efforts, develop sustainable programs, build partnerships with public institutions and community organizations, and create greater opportunities for Iranians to participate fully in Canadian society.
This vision led to the establishment of the Iranian Christian Solidarity Organization.
HOMA was founded on the belief that strong communities are built through compassion, mutual support, respect, and shared responsibility. Inspired by Christian values of love, service, justice, and hope, the organization serves all Iranians, regardless of religious affiliation, while giving particular attention to the needs of Iranian Christians and others who may experience vulnerability or social isolation.
Since its incorporation, HOMA has focused on building a strong governance framework, establishing strategic partnerships, developing community-based programs, recruiting volunteers, and creating the organizational capacity needed to deliver meaningful and lasting social impact across Ontario.
Today, HOMA is committed to working collaboratively with churches, nonprofit organizations, settlement agencies, educational institutions, libraries, healthcare providers, municipalities, businesses, and volunteers to strengthen individuals, support families, promote community belonging, and foster leadership and civic participation.
Although our legal history began in 2026, our story began much earlier—with countless acts of kindness, years of informal community service, enduring friendships, and a shared conviction that every person deserves dignity, opportunity, and a place to belong.
As we look to the future, we remain committed to building an organization that is trusted, accountable, and responsive to the evolving needs of the communities we serve. We invite individuals, families, volunteers, donors, and community partners to join us in this journey of compassion, service, and hope.
Together, we are not only building an organization—we are building stronger communities, creating lasting connections, and investing in a future where every person has the opportunity to thrive.
