It is with deep gratitude, hope, and a profound sense of responsibility that I welcome you to the Iranian Christian Solidarity Organization (HOMA).
HOMA was founded on a simple yet powerful conviction: every person deserves to live with dignity, freedom, hope, and a genuine sense of belonging. Across the world, countless individuals and families face displacement, persecution, social isolation, economic hardship, and the challenges of beginning life again in unfamiliar communities. Many possess remarkable resilience, talents, and aspirations, yet often lack the support networks needed to rebuild their lives with confidence.
As someone who has witnessed the challenges faced by many Iranian newcomers, I believe that lasting change begins with compassion, unity, and service. Our organization exists not merely to provide assistance, but to build a community where people are welcomed, supported, empowered, and encouraged to contribute their gifts and talents to society. We believe that when individuals flourish, communities flourish.
The Iranian Christian Solidarity Organization is committed to promoting community engagement, supporting successful settlement and integration, strengthening families, encouraging volunteerism, advancing educational and leadership opportunities, and fostering partnerships that contribute to stronger, healthier, and more inclusive communities throughout Ontario and across Canada.
This mission cannot be accomplished by one person or one organization alone.
It requires the generosity of individuals, the dedication of volunteers, the wisdom of community leaders, the partnership of churches, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, businesses, and public agencies. Together, we can create welcoming communities where newcomers are not only supported but also empowered to become active and valued members of Canadian society.
Today, I extend a heartfelt invitation to people of goodwill everywhere in the world—and especially to our friends in Canada and the United States—to stand with us.
